Kashmir Law College organises seminar on ‘Drug Abuse’

Srinagar, May 1: Kashmir law college, Srinagar in collaboration with Mukhtar memorial society, organised a one-day seminar on “ menace of drug abuse in Kashmir ‘ issues and challenges.

Dr Muzafar director Drug de-addiction center Srinagar spoke on the various dimensions of drug abuse and highlighted various causes of drug abuse, by reference to the case studies and discussed the measures to control this menace.

Prof. SM Afzal Qadri discussed the purpose of the seminar and highlighted the issues n problems of drug abuse.

Prof A L Wani said we have become a nation of pill takers SP Hazratbal discussed the role of police in controlling the drug abuse, students of the college presented skit on drug abuse which was adjudged a best, and was awarded a trophy.

In the debate segment, Shehla of BA.LLB 4th and Misbah Haqqani a student of BA.LLB 8th semester was given 2nd and 3rd prize, the event was attended by the chairman of the college and Faizan Abrar, chairman mukhtar memorial society.

The program was conducted by Ifra, a student of BA.LLB 10th semester.
