Chandigarh, May 5:Pawan Kumar Bansal slammed the present BJP government for breaking the hearts of thousands by making false promises. He was speaking at Indira Colony in Mani Majra here today.
“Far from providing any relief to poverty-stricken people, BJP leaders went ahead to create more problems for them. Government’s job is to make life comfortable for people, not problematic,” said Bansal. He said the BJP plans to increase water tariff by 30 times. In another function, Bansal talked about the growing scarcity of water and how it could be best conserved with the help of authorities as well as personal measures taken on citizens’ ends too. He said it was unfortunate that the MP had been lying about so many issues.
“Another lie that is being openly propagated is the availability of 24×7 water supply in Chandigarh. Truth is that the city is going through immense scarcity of water.”Shah disconnected with city: Cong candidate
Congress candidate Pawan Kumar Bansal today said BJP president Amit Shah seemed to be disconnected with the city as he claimed that only the BJP has brought development to the city. He said the claims were far from reality. He said the BJP did nothing for the development of the railway station and its ‘Smart City’ ranking also slipped.
The so-called Ujjwala scheme is touted as one providing free LPG connections to the poor. However, the truth is that only 37 people have been able to avail of this facility in Chandigarh. Nothing is really free with security fee and other such costs. — Pawan Kumar Bansal, Congress candidate
