DDC Ramban finalizes arrangements for Ramadan
RAMBAN, MAY 06: District Development Commissioner, Showkat Aijaz Bhat, today convened a meeting of officers and representatives of religious and different business organizations to review and finalize arrangements for ensuing holy month of Ramadan.
During the meeting, the rates of fresh items including Chicken, Mutton, Milk, Curd, Cheese, Egg, live sheep and goat etc were approved.
The DDC instructed Executive Officers of Municipal Committees to ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the town especially around religious spots besides ensuring installation of street lights near Mosques. He directed the officers of PDD, PHE, Health and other departments to provide quality services to public during Ramadan.
He appealed the public to contact PHE’s control room at 01996266287 during office hours, in case of any issue regarding water supply. He asked PDD to establish a similar control room in their office for convenience of the public especially during these days.
SSP informed the meeting about the security arrangements made and impressed upon installation of CCTV cameras in the business establishments for ensuring surveillance in the area.
DDC directed the ACR, SDMs and Tehsildars to ensure regular market checking in their respective jurisdictions to oversee quality, hygiene, rates of essential commodities. He asked the officers to ensure adequate supply of ration, LPG and other essential commodities to the people during Ramadan.
Among others the meeting was attended by senior officers of various departments besides President Beopar Mandal, Bushan Lal Gupta and representatives of religious and business organisations.
