805 Anganwari Centres functional in Kishtwar
DC stresses on close monitoring
KISHTWAR, MAY 11: District Development Commissioner Angrez Singh Rana today asked for close monitoring of Anganwari Centres for better results.
He was charring a meeting of ICDS Department to review the functioning of Anganwari Centres in the district.
ADDC Kishtwar, Mohammad Hanief Malik, I/c PO ICDS Kishtwar, Tariq Qazi and Supervisors were present in meeting.
It was informed that there are 805 Anganwari Centres functional in District Kishtwar with 4 CDPOs and 19 supervisors looking after their working.
The DDC stressed on full realization of the purpose of Anganwari Centres to provide healthy and nutritious diet to the children of the poorest of the poor.
He directed the supervisors to provide fixed quantity of food and nutrition supplies to Anganwari Centres besides health services and nutrition to pregnant women, nursing mothers and adolescent girls.
