3 students top state as Punjab School Education Board announces Class 12 result

Mohali, May 11:The Punjab School Education Board announced its Class 12 result here on Saturday. Muskan Soni, Aman and Saravjot Singh topped the state in science, humanities and commerce streams, respectively.

The three got 98.88 per cent marks.Science student Loveleen Verma stood second with 98.67 per cent marks while Nazia Kamboj, a student of humanities, and Muskan, also from humanities, secured third position.

In the sports category, Muktsar girl Navdeep Kaur (humanities), Fazilka girl Khushdeep Kaur (humanities)and Ludhiana girl Ravjeet Kaur (commerce) remained toppers.Humanities student from Sangrur Lovepreet Kaur was second whereas Amanpreet Kaur, a commerce student from Ludhiana, and Harmanpreet Kaur, a science student from Faridkot, shared the third position in the sports category.

Two toppers from Muktsar district

Muktsar: Navdeep Kaur, who has scored 450/450 marks, secured the first position in the state in the sports category in the PSEB Class XII, is a cricket player.

She has been playing cricket from Class VI. She comes from a farmer’s family. Her father is no more and mother is a housewife.

Rajwant Singh, chairman, Nanak Dev Public Senior Secondary School, Smagh village, in Gidderbaha sub-division here, said Navdeep is equally good in studies and her game. “She had secured 90% marks in Class X,” he said.

Aman, who has secured the first position in the humanities group in the academics category by scoring 445/450 marks is a resident of Jandwala village in Malout sub-division here.

Amarjit Narula, principal, GTB Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Malout, said, “Aman had got the first rank in the district in her Class X exams.”  TNS

Nakodar’s Muskan tops science stream, wants to be scientist

Jalandhar: With a score of 445/450, Muskan Soni, a student of KRM DAV Collegiate Senior Secondary School, Nakodar, is the state topper in the science stream. 

Daughter of Satish Soni, who works in a local shop, Muskan said she relied on self-study. She said studying five to six hours daily during exams helped her understand each and every topic. 

Her favourite subject is chemistry and she wants to become a scientist. T
