DC, Relief Com visit Veerwan Migrant Employees Colony
BARAMULLA, MAY 11: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr G N Itoo accompanied by Commissioner (Migrants) Relief and Rehabilitation Tej Krishan Butt and other concerned officers today visited Veerwan Migrant Employees Colony Baramulla to review the basic amenities being provided to the residents.
On the occasion, DC and Commissioner took the appraisal of available facilities including accommodation, water, power, food and other necessary facilities.
The DC interacted with the migrants residing in the colony during which they put forth various issues and demands with regard to their rehabilitation.
The residents demanded the expansion of the accommodation area. They also demanded the uninterrupted water and power supply. Moreover, they demanded repair of the boundary wall adding that adequate arrangements may be done so that their security is ensured.
The DC and the Commissioner gave a patient hearing to the grievances and demands put forth by the residents and assured them that all their genuine demands would be looked into for their proper and timely redressal.
