Dr. Shazad Malik Demands Crime Branch Probe in Mendhar Ponzi Scheme
Jammu, 19/MAY/2019: Seeking immediate arrest of all the absconders involved in the fraud financial scheme that lured innocent investors from border town Mendhar and other nearby areas of district Poonch and fled away with hard earned money of poor people few months back on the name of multiplying their money within shortest period of time, Dr Shazad Malik, former Vice Chancellor of Sai Nath University have made an appeal to the governor Satya Pal Malik and senior officers of the police department to transfer the probe of this fraud involving millions of rupees belonging to thousands of border residents to the Crime Branch so that all those involved in this huge financial scam be arrested and money be recovered from them.
The former VC said there is no denial that district Police Poonch is very competent but as this case involves such a huge money and the criminals belong to different districts or perhaps even to other state thus only Crime Branch that have special expertise and technical resources and manpower can fairly handle this case and bring truth into light and ensure that all duped money is returned back to the poor people.
He also asked banks and other financial institutes to conducted financial literacy awareness programs in Scholls, Colleges and Panchayats to aware innocent people of far flung areas of the state to avoid such scams in future.
