This is a mandate for new India, says PM Modi after massive win

New Delhi, May 23:Prime Minister Narendra Modi is addressing BJP workers at the party headquarters in Delhi after his party’s spectacular victory in the Lok Sabha elections.

Modi arrives at the BJP HQs to a rousing reception with flower petals being showered by party workers.He is accompanied by party chief Amit Shah.

There was a fake tag that had become a fad in the country. That tag was “secularism”: PM

That fake tag ended in 2014. We saw these elections that no party ever used the tag: Modi  

This is the first time that inflation and price rise was never issue, when corruption was not an issue: Modi  

These things were missing, and so political pandits didn’t know what yardstick to use to measure these elections: Modi  

These elections have brought a new narrative to the fore. What is that new narrative? There will be only two castes in the country. This will be a jolt to those playing caste politics. One caste is the poor, and the other is those who will help eradicate poverty: Modi  

This mandate is one that will surprise the world: Modi  

Let’s promise to take the country towards progress. If we can channel the spirit of the independence movement into taking us toward progress, the country can touch great heights in 2024: Modi
