DDC Kulgam visits Khanbarni Devsar, Manzgam
Reviews arrangements for Mela kheer Bhawani
KULGAM, JUNE 03: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kulgam Dr Shamim Ahmad Wani along with Commissioner Relief & Rehabilitation, T K Bhat today visited Kheer Bhawani Asthapan Manzgam and Shree Tripoori Sundri Asthapan Khanbarni Devsar to oversee the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of annual Kheer Bhawani Mela at both the places.
DDC was accompanied by Tehsildar Devsar, Tehsildar D. H. Pora, AEE PHE, PDD besides Chairman APMCC Vinod Pandith and president Municipal Committee Kulgam Avinash Bhat.
The officers from PDD, PHE, Health, Police and other line departments briefed the DDC about the arrangements which have been put in place for smooth conduct of the celebrations.
During his visit, DDC asked the concerned officers to synergize efforts to ensure smooth conduct of celebration of Mela Kheer Bhawani and to extend all requisite facilities to the devotees.
He asked the Municipal Committees Kulgam and Devsar to ensure complete sanitation and sprucing up of the temple premises and its surroundings.
DDC directed all the offices to ensure appropriate arrangements are put in place for the smooth conduct of Mela which is expected to be attended by thousands of devotees.
PHE and PDD departments were asked to ensure adequate water and electricity supply with foolproof stand by arrangements.
