DLSA Anantnag to launch weeklong campaign on “Ageing with Dignity” for elderly persons
ANANTNAG, JUNE 03: District Legal Services Authority Anantnag (DLSA) is going to launch a weeklong campaign on “Ageing with Dignity” for senior citizens across the district from 10th June to 15th June 2019, informed Secretary DLSA Anantnag.
The campaign will be inaugurated at District Jail Anantnag followed by various activities at various locations by Tehsil Legal Services Authorities, covering major Tehsils across the district.
The activities will include a sensitization programme on elder abuse awareness followed by painting competition at Bijbehara on June 11th, Inter School Debate at Shangus on June 13th and Orientation Programme on Inter-Generation Bonding at Aishmuqam on June 14th.
On the concluding day of 15th June, a Mega Multi Service Camp will be organised at Anantnag, which will include free health checkups of senior citizens, awareness and sensitization about their rights & various central and state sponsored schemes targeted at senior citizens, legal aid and sensitization about prevention of elder abuse.
All the senior citizens have been requested to participate in the programme.
