EC Works reviews pace of progress on developmental works
KARGIL, JUNE 03:- Executive Councillor (EC) for Works Aga Syed Abbass Razvi today reviewed the physical and financial progress of the developmental activities being undertaken by the departments.
Superintending Engineer PWD Kargil Haji Fida Hussain, Councillor Stakpa Umba Ghulam Haider, Executive Engineers of R&B II, Suru Valley Division Sankoo, Mechanical Division, PWD Zanskar, General Manager DIC, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, AD Fisheries, AD FCS&CA and AD Information Kargil attended the meeting.
The EC directed the SE PWD and XENs to prepare separate comprehensive proposals for payment of land compensation as well as the dues of the casual labourers so that the same could be projected at the State level for release of funds.
It was decided in the meeting that a team of officers consisting of the XENs of R&B II and Mechanical Division would be constituted to pursue the case of the release of liabilities amounting to Rs 410 lakh on the maintenance works of the Kargil Zanskar Road with the higher authorities at the Secretariat level.
The EC also took a detailed review of the progress achieved on different developmental works and welfare schemes by other concerned departments and stressed the officers to work with sincerity, honesty and dedication to address public issues on top priority.
