ADC reviews Eid-ul-Fitr arrangements
JAMMU, JUNE 03: Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Rishpal Singh today convened a meeting with officers of various departments and representatives of religious organizations to review the arrangements put in place for Eid-ul-Fitr celebration.
The participants raised their demands related to adequate supply of food items, fruit, vegetables, mutton and chicken, adequate drinking water and power supply, sanitation, traffic management, security arrangements etc during the celebration.
In order to curb black marketing, profiteering and hoarding, the ADC asked the concerned department to intensify market checking and take strict action against the erring traders. The fire and emergency department was directed to put in place fire tenders at vulnerable places.
Among others, ACG Jammu Inderjeet Singh Parihar, Joint Director Information Naresh Kumar, SSP Traffic Jammu Prabh Dayal Sharma, Joint Commissioner JMC Pardeep Singh Manhas, Deputy Controller Legal Metrology Manoj Prabhabkar, Administrator, Auqaf Wakeel Ahmed, Dy CMO Dr. Mohammad Jousaf, Executive Engineers R&B and EDI, Parade, members of various religious organizations besides other senior officers were also present.
