Facilities for Shri Amarnath yatris reviewed at Samba

SAMBA, JUNE 17: To provide adequate basic facilities to yatris of Shri AmarnathJi (SANJY) in the district, Deputy Commissioner, Sushma Chauhan, today visited various sites in identified location for lodging of yatris during the Yatra.

Deputy Commissioner, during her visit to  Narsingh temple, Govt Higher Sec Secondary School (Boys and Girls) Nonath Ashram in Ghagwal tehsil and GHSS, Girls Govt HSS and Chichi Mata temple in Samba tehsil, inspected the availability of basic amenities including availability of water, proper sanitation,  cleanliness, hygienic environment, electricity, and other arrangements being made for the pilgrims.

DDC directed the concerned officers for ensuring supply of safe drinking water, installation of mobile sanitation vans, raising of community toilets, repair and cleaning of school rooms and availability of other basic necessities in identified locations for comfortable pilgrimage for the devotees. She exhorted officers and other field functionaries to ensure proper planning and execution of plan while maintaining close liaison with other line departments.

SSP, Koushal Kumar, also briefed regarding the security arrangements saying that all necessary arrangements have been finalised for ensuring a peaceful Yatra.

Sub Divisional Magistrate Vijaypur, Vijay Kumar, Chief Education Officer, Rampal, Executive Engineer PDD, PHE R&B, Tehsildar Ghagwal, samba, Block development officer Ghagwal, Samba besides other district officers were present during the visit.
