Bandipora, June 19: Two women were rescued after a boat capsized in Wular Lake near Zurimanz village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday.
An official said that mother-daughter duo drowned after their boat capsized in Wular Lake near navy camp.
“They were immediately rescued after navy men noticed that a boat capsized in the lake outside their camp,” he said.
Locals said that Rafiqa Begum and her daughter Laali were going to Sopore via Wular Lake when their boat capsized in the lake.
