DDC Shopian Flags off mobile food testing laboratory.
SHOPIAN 19TH JUNE: – Under the overall supervision of DDC Shopian, Dr Owais Ahmed, the department of Food Safety Shopian headed by Assistant Commissioner Food safety Along-with Food safety officers, a mobile food testing laboratory was inaugurated in presence of various food business operators of Shopian. Pertinent to mention here that this was the first ever Mobile Food testing van dedicated for the benefits of the people of far flung area. Additional District Development Commisioner ,Mohammad Saleem Malik was also present on the occassion. Soon after inaugural ceremony Deputy Commissioner Shopian along with Food safety department. Thoroughly inspected mobile food testing van. The experts/ technicians of food testing van elaborated the procedure for analysis of various food items practically doing on spot from different FBO’S. Speaking on the occasion DDC said that this mobile testing laboratory served the basic sampling parameters, if required food articles would be sent for proper testing.
