DC Reasi institutes internship programme for tourism development
REASI, JUNE 26: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib today met with representatives of Batra Group and briefed them about her ambitious ‘Reasi beyond Katra: Internship with Deputy Commissioner Reasi’ programme here at her office chamber today. The representatives also handed over a cheque of one lakh rupees under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
Under the programme, 12 students, recent graduates or students of final year will get a chance to work with Deputy Commissioner Reasi and help develop adventure and religious tourism in the district.
Only students from the three degree colleges of the district, and SMVDU, are eligible to apply for the one-month programme. To apply for the internship, students need to approach the head of their college and submit their name by June 29.
A four-member panel has also been framed to select eligible candidates for the programme. The panel consists of AD Tourism Katra, Umesh Shan, Functional Manager DIC Reasi, Mohd Sayeed and two experts on adventure and religious tourism each.
