DSEJ Organised Online Interaction on child Protection Issues
JAMMU, 29 JUNE: On the directions of Director School Education Jammu Ms.Anuradha Gupta, an online interaction was organized through JKKN on the topic “Child Protection” today here at DSEJ.
Romesh Kumar Sharma, Head counselling cell DSEJ was the resource person who gave a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the topic child protection covering various aspects of child protection like child rights, child abuse, corporal punishment, positive engagement startegies, sexual abuse, safety of girl children, tips to girl children, prevention of child abuse, legislations related to child protection like Juvenile Justice Care and Protection Act 2013 and JK POCSO 2018, Emergency numbers.
School children from both the divisions participated and did put up a lot of queries.
Students also cane up with various suggestions like installation of CCTVs for child protection.
