Gurugram, July 1:A senior staffer with a Hyderabad-based chemical factory allegedly killed his wife and two children by stabbing them and slitting their throats before ending his life in their Uppal Southend home here, police said on Monday.

Prakash Singh, 55, a PhD doctorate, was found hanging from a ceiling fan on Sunday night with a suicide note stating that “he was not able to handle his family”, a police official said.    “I completely failed in taking my family along with me. I am completely responsible for this, no one else,” reads the suicide note.

Hailing from Varanasi, he was employed with a pharmaceutical major headquartered in Hyderabad.

According to the police, he had not been attending his office for the last one month and the company was being questioned about reasons for the same.

His wife Sonu Singh (50) was running four playschools in different parts of the country. His son Aditya (13) was in school while daughter Aditi (22) was in college.

The post-mortem of bodies is yet to begin though prima facie it appears that family was killed using a hammer and a sharp blade used for cutting wood.

DCP (east) Sulochana Gajraj said three bodies were found in the room where he hung himself.

“A suicide note was found from his pocket. We are still investigating,” said Gajraj.
