Tourism Festival organized by District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with District Administration Shopian
Shopian, June 29: – The District Legal Services Authority Shopian in collaboration with District Administration Shopian organized Awareness Camp here today at Padapawan Shopian.
Principal and District Session Judge Shopian Skindar Azam (Chairman District Legal Services Authority Services Shopian) and District Development Commissioner Shopian, Dr. Owais Ahmed were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion the Principal & District Session Judge said the people will come to know at this camp about various schemes and services provided by the various line departments from which they will be benefited. He said that the key departments would give detail detailed presentation to people about the relevant welfare schemes of their departments and criteria for it. He also said the camp was organised for to make general masses aware of their entitlements under the law and apprise them about the availability of free legal services besides to connect them to several welfare sachems. He added that assistance is provided to the needful population by the district line department’s unedified by the paralegal volunteers of the district by way of providing, financial assistance, Health Camps, Agricultural and Horticulture tools. Labour cards under State & Centrally sponsored schemes.
DDC said that to promote tourism many facilities have been kept available at various places on Mughals road at so that more and more tourists can visit these tourist resorts in Shopian district.
He said that aim of these camps is to aware the people about the legal aids services so that they can avail benefits from such schemes especially for those who are below poverty line. He further stressed for protecting the environment and preservation of land and safeguarding the tourist resorts.
The departments including, Tourism, labour, social welfare, Fisheries, Sheep Husbandry, Industries Department, Horticulture, Agriculture, Handloom, other concerned departments informative stalls set up by the line departments.
School children’s from various educational institutions besides officers and Judiciary, line departments, and other concerned department were also present. Later samplings of trees under plantation drive were also planted at tourist reception centre padapawan shopian by DDC and Principal & District Session Judge.
