Will not resign and continue to do work entrusted by Rahul, says Ashok Tanwar

Haryana, July 5:Haryana Congress president Ashok Tanwar on Friday said he would not resign and continue to do the work entrusted to him by Rahul Gandhi. 

He informed the election planning and management committee that he and Gandhi have discussed the issue twice. When Tanwar was asked about his resignation, he replied: “I have even offered my life for the party.”

Tanwar had invited the former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Kiran Choudhary, Capt Ajay Yadav, Randeep Surjewala, Kuldeep Bishnoi and Selja to participate in the meeting on July 8 at Delhi.

He clarified that no list of district and block presidents would come out now. Tanwar said the election and management committee would choose candidates for 90 constituencies. 

He said that he is not responsible for the loss in Lok Sabha elections in the state and added that it has to be a collective responsibility.

Sudesh Aggarwal will be the convenor of election and management committee.
