Panchkula, July 22:One person was killed and at least 12 were injured when the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in collided with an Innova near the toll plaza here today.
The SUV hit the auto-rickshaw from the rear, resulting in serious injuries to its occupants. The police reached the spot after which the injured were taken to the Civil Hospital in Sector 6, where one of them was declared brought dead.
Six of the injured were referred to the PGI. All occupants of the car were in the age group of 18 to 22.
Chandimandir police station SHO Naveen Kumar said the victims belonged to a slum colony in Pinjore and were on their way to Haridwar. He said the deceased and the injured were yet to be identified and further investigations were on.
