A Mega PTM held across Govt. Schools of Jammu Division
Jammu, A mega PTM (Parent Teacher Meet) was held across all the Govt. Schools of Jammu Division under the directions of Sh. Farooq Khan, Worthy Advisor to Hon’ble Governor and overall supervision and guidance of Smt. Sarita Chouhan, Commissioner Secretary J&K Govt. Education Department on 31st of August, 2019.
The mega PTM was organized successfully by the Directorate of School Education Jammu which has assumed an important platform for interaction between teachers and parents in Govt. schools. This PTM was 1st of the mega PTMs apart from the regular monthly PTMs held on 26th day of every month and it has been significant because earlier this exercise which used to be limited to big private schools has now become an integral part of culture of govt. schools.
A detailed circular was issued by the Directorate of School Education Jammu earlier to ensure implementation of the mega PTM across the length and breadth of Jammu Division and a uniform PTM proforma was circulated to have first hand feedback from the parents.
Director School Education Jammu Ms. Anuradha Gupta also visited various schools and interacted with parents and students to see the impact of organizing such an event. She visited HSS Channi Himmat, GHSS Kandoli Nagrota, HS Kandoli Nagrota and Middle and Primary School Kandoli Nagrota. She also felicitated a class 12th student of GHSS Kandoli Nagrota who was identified as shining star during online interaction with Director School Education Jammu at JKNN Network for her remarkable achievements in academics and interactive aptitude.
DSEJ opined said that the objective of holding this PTM was to keep informed the parents about the academic performance and personality of their children and also to have a proper feedback about the child from the parents about his overall personna and behavior at his/her place.
