6 Haryana cops to get Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Police Training

Chandigarh, September 5: Six Police officers from Haryana have been selected for the “Union Home Minister’s Medal for Excellence in Police Training” for the year 2017-2018.

While stating this here today, a spokesman of Police Department said that Inspector, Ishwar Singh, Inspector Randhir Singh, Sub-Inspector Ram Kumar, ASI Sunil Kumar, ASI Naresh Kumar and Office Superintendent Daya Nand Sharma are among the 245 awardees selected for this prestigious award by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.

Director General of Police, Haryana, Mr Manoj Yadava congratulated all the Police Officers decorated with awards and wished them more success and recognition in future. These six officers have been selected in recognition of their outstanding contribution in the field of Police training at various training institutions of the State.

It may be mentioned here that Union Ministry of Home Affairs has instituted this award to accord due recognition to the work of trainers in enhancing the quality and standard of training in Police Training Institutions in the States, Union Territories and Central Armed Police Forces.
