New Delhi, September 18:
Pakistan has mobilised a number of BAT teams of soldiers and terrorists close to posts opposite to multiple locations along the Line of Control near Uri, Keran, Poonch, Mendhar and Naushera sector. In the same areas Pakistan SSG has also been deployed. A number of infiltrations have been attempted in the past months while 2-3 specific instances of BAT action were foiled by the Indian forces.
A video of an attempted infiltration by BAT teams was recorded on the intervening night of September 12-13 in Hajipur. In this video captured on a Hand Held Thermal Imager, Pakistani BAT teams can be seen trying to infiltrate while Indian forces hit back with grenades.
In the video, Indian troops can be seen launching grenades at Pakistan’s SSG (Special Service Group) using Under Barrel Grenade Launchers.
Post the abrogation of Article 370 a number of terror launchpads have been activated by the Pakistani army close to Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC). These launchpads have been placed at a distance of about a few hundred meters to 2 km from the border.
These launchpads are facing Gurez, Machchal, Keran, Tangdhar, Uri, Poonch, Naushera, Sunderbani, RS Pura, Ramgarh, Kathua and are housing more than 250 terrorists.
A communication centre in Kalighati was activated early August to coordinate and facilitate infiltration through the borders and this centre is fully active, said sources.
News is emerging that recruitment of terrorists in Pakistan’s Punjab has commenced and Daura-e-Aam of Lashkar-e-Taiba and similar training by JeM has also started. These training activities are going on in Muzaffarbad-Manshera-Kotli clusters, said sources.
On September 10-11, in Hajipur Sector of PoK, Indian troops killed sepoy Ghulam Rasool of the Punjab Regiment from Bahawalnagar.
