Chandigarh, October 26: BJP candidate Tej Bahadur Yadav, who had contested the Haryana assembly elections against Manohar Lal Khattar, has announced that he will quit the party because of the party tying up with BJP.
Tej Bahadur Yadav was sacked by the BSF after he complained of bad food served to the jawans. He joined the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) in September ahead of the assembly elections in the presence of Dushyant Chautala.
Tej Bahadur Yadav was dismissed from his service after he released the video in 2017. The former BSF jawan had then joined the Samajwadi Party (SP) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2019 and was selected to contest the general elections as a candidate of the grand alliance of the BSP, SP, and RLD.
Tej Bahadur has released a video to announce his decision after JJP announced its alliance with BJP on Friday.
“Dushyant Chautala has betrayed the people of Haryana after the state showed the door to BJP. Chautala went ahead and supported the same BJP that was thrown out of power by the people of the state,” said Yadav.
He went ahead and called JJP the “B-team” of JJP and said the two parties are the same and people should oppose them.
JJP, which won 10 seats in the tightly fought Haryana assembly elections, extended support to the BJP on Friday after Manohar Lal Khattar’s Haryana BJP failed to cross the majority mark.
Now Dushyant Chautala’s JJP has been offered the Deputy CM post in Haryana by BJP and the two parties have announced a coalition.
Manohar Lal Khattar will be claiming stake to form the government in Haryana on Saturday.
