Panipat, January 8: The body of a 16-year old boy who had gone missing from the town on Tuesday evening was found on the city outskirts on Wednesday.
He was reportedly murdered after being kidnapped for ransom.
Kunal, a Class 10 student and a resident of Jawahar Nagar, was the nephew of a former councillor Jai Kumar Bindal.
He had gone to take tuition on Tuesday evening but did not return home. The family received a call in the night saying their son had been kidnapped and they should arrange a sum of Rs 5 lakh in ransom. The family sounded the police.
The police have rounded up two men in this connection.
