Amritsar, January 31: The special task force seized around 200 kg heroin from a house here on Thursday night. The police have nabbed four persons, including a woman and an Afghan national.
Though the police were tightlipped about the seizure, sources said the house belonged to an SAD leader. The house was reportedly given on rent around two months ago.
Sources said the police were also investigating the involvement of a cloth trader.
At the time of filing this report, the STF team was present in the house carrying out investigation.
STF ADGP Harpreet Singh Sidhu will hold a press conference later in the day.
The seizure was made following the questioning of two smugglers from Mohali.
