New Delhi, February 7: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is searching the premises of an IAS officer in connection with the arrest of the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia in an alleged bribery case of Rs 2 lakh

Gopal Krishna Madhav was arrested in a late-night operation for allegedly receiving a bribe of over Rs 2 lakh in a matter related to GST.

No involvement of Sisodia in the case has surfaced so far and the investigation is going on. Madhav was posted in the office of Sisodia in 2015.

In his first reaction, Manish Sisodia asked the CBI to ensure strict action against the officer.

Meanwhile, the BJP has claimed that the arrested OSD could not have been accepting bribes without the knowledge of his minister.

The arrests come a day before crucial Delhi Assembly Elections.
