Srinagar, February 11: Kashmir valley is likely to receive a fresh wet spell that is expected to begin from Tuesday evening and continue for two subsequent days as the region is warming up on the last leg of a bitter winter.

An official of the Srinagar Meteorological Centre here said that light rain and snow was expected in the region from Tuesday evening and continue on Wednesday and Thursday.

The official said the precipitation was expected to remain of light intensity and would be at isolated places on Tuesday evening. “On Wednesday and Thursday, it is likely to increase to scattered places and it will be light rain and snow,” the official said.

The fresh wet spell will be unlike the past spells which were moderate to heavy in intensity and had caused widespread damages to the infrastructure and also caused suspension of the highway and air traffic.
