Ludhiana February 19: The Special Task Force has nabbed a Ludhiana SHO and his driver for carrying heroin. The contraband seized from them has been valued in crores.
The Division No 2 SHO Amandeep Singh Gill has also been suspended.
Gill, who had reportedly got the police job on compassionate grounds as his policeman father had died during terrorism, had also served at the Kotwali police station.
Police Commissioner Rakesh Agrawal has placed the cop under suspension. He is also likely to be dismissed after the departmental inquiry.
