Hisar, March 2: The husband of the sarpanch of Sulkhani village in this district was shot dead in front of his house at Lajpat Nagar in Hisar town on Monday morning.
Dharampal had stepped out of his house to dispose of the trash when two motorcycle-borne youths opened fire on him.
He died on the spot.
His wife Sushma is sarpanch of the village. The couple lived in Hisar town.
The murder incident was captured on the CCTV installed in a house in the street.
