Chandigarh, March 6: The Punjab and Haryana High Court witnessed unprecedented rush on Friday as lawyers gathered to welcome Justice S Muralidhar after his transfer from the Delhi High Court.
He was administered oath as a judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court by Chief Justice Ravi Shanker Jha at 10 am.
All roads leading to the court were dotted with hoarding welcoming him.
One of the hoardings said: “Delhi’s loss is Punjab’s gain.”
Inside the high court auditorium, lawyers waited for him with roses.
