Foreign travellers, Ladakh returned to disclose their travel history within two days: Dr Singla
UDHAMPUR, MARCH 28: Taking strict action against the persons who are hiding their travel history, the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Piyush Singla today appealed the people who have been returned from foreign countries and Ladakh region after March 1, 2020 and have not disclosed their travel history, to come forward and register their names on 01992 272727 or 01992272728 within two days so that they can be quarantined well in time.
While briefing the media, DDC said that the district administration is monitoring the situation closely and people need not panic regarding threat of Corona virus and also appealed the people to stay at home and maintain social distancing. He added that various surveillance teams of health and other departments are monitoring the situation on the ground.
The DDC warned those who are hiding their travel history that district administration has deputed teams on ground for tracking of such people and asked them to register their names within two days. “After two days, if anybody is found hiding his/her identity, he/she will be dealt with strictly and FIR will be lodged against such defaulters”, the DDC said.
He also asked PRIs/Lamberdars/Chowkidars and frontline workers, Patwaris and VLWs to conduct door to door survey in their respective areas and report all such cases so that they can be quarantined well in time.
