New Delhi/Chandigarh, April 10: Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh on Friday said the Punjab Cabinet would take a decision on the state’s lockdown extension this evening.
There has been a lockdown and curfew in the state till April 14 in view of the coronavirus pandemic.
Covid-19 has entered community transmission stage in Punjab, 27 cases are secondary with no history of travelling, Amarinder said.
He said the PGI Chandigarh projection had painted a grim picture of the pandemic in India saying it would peak nationally by mid-September when 58% of country’s population and 87% of Punjab’s population could be infected.
