Jammu, April 17 : An emergency meeting of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum was held through teleconferencing under the chairmanship of its President Deepak Sharma in which he hailed Principal Secretary School Education Dr Asghar Hassan Samoon for his Tweet to address Running Grade/Time Bound Promotion and other major issues concerning Plus-2 Lecturers community.
Deepak Sharma informed the house that Forum has been demanding Running Grade/Time Bound Promotion in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers since long but they have got only false promises in return by successive Govts / previous despensations.
Forum thanked Principal Secretary School Education for giving due consideration to memoranda of demands submitted by the Forum from time to time and hoped that issue of worst type of stagnation in the cadre will be addressed soon by way of sanctioning of Time Bound promotion / Assured Career Progression in favour of +2 Lecturers (i.e from Level 9 /Grade Pay 5400 to Level 13/ Grade Pay 8700) on the analogy of their other Gazetted Counterparts in UT of J&K as they have to stagnate for about 20 long years in the same scale before being promoted as Principal with a meagre enhancement of Grade Pay of Rs 200 (i.e. from 5400 to 5600 in Pre Revised Scale).
Forum hoped that Regularization orders of All Incharge Incumbents/Retirees of Education Department right from Lecturer to Joint Director will also be issued soon.
Deepak Sharma also expressed faith that Dr Asghar Hassan Samoon who is known for his honest and dynamic administration will also resolve other issues like Fixation of Induction Quota in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers, Restoration of 40% College Quota, Non-vacational status to Principals/Head of the Institutions ,Removal of Pay anomalies and also Placement of Lecturers as Senior Lecturers . The Forum also expressed hope that all the vacant posts of Head the Schools shall be filled soon as directed by Principal Secretary for smooth functioning of school administration and effective dissemination of teaching learning process.
Prominent among others who participated in the teleconferencing were N.S. Jamwal, Dr. Sushma, Anil Sharma, R.S. Slathia, Anwar Khan, Sanjay Bhagat and Pardeep Singh.
