81 administrative quarantine centres established in Doda
DODA, MAY 01: In order to effectively deal with the Covid-19 district administration Doda under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Dr Sagar D Doifode has made various arrangements to combat the spread of Corona virus infection in effective manner.
The DDC informed that district administration preparedness has reached to the next level in terms of effective management of Covid-19 threat and has established 7 Covid Health Care Centres, 16 Covid Care (Wellness) centres and apart from these 81 Administrative Quarantine facilities including Tehsil level quarantine centres have also been established across the district with intake capacity of more than 4500.
Pertinently, the district administration has established COVID Care Centres and Covid Health Care Centres at different locations to increase its capacity to handle COVID cases. COVID Care Centre and Health Care Centre and dedicated Covid-19 hospital is a grade 3 facility where asymptomatic, mild flu like Covid cases and highly risk cases will be kept separately, DDC added.
He further informed that these facilities have been also augmented across the district keeping in view the large number of stranded labourers who have started returning to the district from outside J&K. He also said that in all these centres particular SOP has been followed and all these next level centres are converted into a primary health centres with all the basic health care facilities.
The DDC said that direction has been already passed to the concerned authorities to prepare the Centre as per established guidelines. He informed that adequate facilities have been made available to the patients with proper provisions of adequate number of oxygen cylinders, ventilators, portable oxygen concentrators, oxygen flow meters besides other equipment and logistics.
He also assured the general public of the district that district administration is making persistence efforts to effectively manage the situation arisen due to the Covid-19 and will leave no stone unturned in fight against the deadly virus.
Doda labourers brought back from outside UT, put under quarantine
DODA, MAY 01: Labourers from Doda, who were bought back from outside Union Territory, have been put under administrative quarantine in different quarantine centers established by the Doda administration across the district as per the set SOP.
The Labourers were properly screened and put under administrative quarantine by district administration, the process is being personally monitored by the Deputy Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode.
Moreover the Deputy Commissioner informed that, district administration has already placed men and machinery on toes for the convenience of these stranded labourers who have started returning to the district. The designated officials in this regard are working day and night tirelessly for the hassle free evacuation of these stranded labourers of the district.
