DC Budgam distributes PPE kits, Sanitizers, Masks donated by J&K Teachers Forum
BUDGAM, MAY 05: The Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai in presence of CEO Budgam, Fatima Tak and representative of Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum and other concerned distributed 150 PPE kits, 150 packs of Masks and 150 hand sanitizers donated by Jammu and Kashmir teachers forum in collaboration with Education Department Budgam particularly Zone Khansahab under covid-19 pandemic relief, here today.
Hailing the humanitarian gesture of education department particularly Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum, the DC said that the forum has already dedicated Rs.2 lac to District Red Cross Society, Budgam under Special Relief Component. He said such gestures inspire other human beings to help deserving and under privileged community. The DC said current circumstances are test of our patience and our willingness to help each other, particularly poor and needy.
DC Badgam releases Rs.1.65 crore financial assistant for Labour class
BUDGAM, MAY 05: The Deputy Commissioner, Budgam, Tariq Hussain Ganai in presence of Assistant Commissioner, Labour, Budgam, released Rs 1,65,46,500 received from Building and Other Construction Welfare Board through Labour Department, Budgam under two relief components, Covid-19 and Education Assistance, in favour of labour class of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC appreciated and hailed the humanitarian gesture from the organization particularly Building and Other Construction Welfare Board. He said out of this cumulative amount of Rs. 826300 has been released as financial assistance in favour of 8263 registered labour class @ Rs 1000 per person under Covid-19 assistance. In addition Rs. 8283500 has been released to 300 beneficiaries facilitating scholarship assistance to 1021 students affiliated with Labour Department.
