Bhaderwah PRIs appreciates efforts of district administration to combat Covid-19 spread
DODA, MAY 18: Sarpanches of block Bhaderwah today extended outstanding and heartfelt gratitude to the District Development Commissioner Doda, Dr Sagar D Doifode for effectively dealing with the Covid-19 situation across the district.
On the occasion, the Sarpanches of block Bhaderwah appreciated the efforts of district administration to contain the spread of novel corona virus. Besides, they also congratulated the DDC and his team of officials for working day and night tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of its citizens, including successful implementation of lock down restrictions across the district due to which the district is still out of danger from deadly virus. The Sarpanches also handed over the certificate of excellence, flowers and a Kashmiri shawl to the DDC as token of love, respect and gratitude.
Speaking to the PRIs the DDC extended warm regards to the Sarpanches for their heartfelt felicitation and also assured them that district administration will leave no stone unturned to ensure the safety and security of its citizens.
The DDC also enquired about the status of ration distribution; face mask distribution, dry mid day meal distribution, Anganwadi ration in various areas of Bhaderwah Block. The Sarpanches informed the DDC that advance two month ration has been distributed in their areas including dry mid day meal, Anganwadi ration at the doorstep of every beneficiary. They also appreciated district administration for utilising the services of PRI members in the face mask distribution during ongoing Covid-19 situation.
Further the DDC informed the Sarpanches that the MGNREGA works will be started soon across the district for which the plan has been finalized. He also said that rates for different material commodities stands fixed and the directions has already been given to the concerned department to upload the plan on secure soft under the fixed timeline for the timely start of works. Besides number of issues of the public interest were raised by the participants for which DDC Doda assured them that all of these issues will be addressed with utmost priority.
The DDC also said that “it is because of public cooperation our district is still Coronavirus infection free and requires the same amount of dedication and commitment from the public during this ongoing 4th phase of lockdown so that with collective efforts the fight against Covid-19 can be fought”.
