27 more COVID–19 patients recover in Anantnag

ANANTNAG, MAY 18: As many as 27 more COVID–19 positive patients from Nowgam, Tailwani, Pushroo and Kharpora area of Anantnag district have recovered, thereby taking the total number of recoveries to 62.

The said patients after going through repeated tests and proper treatment plan at Trauma Hospital, Bijbehara (designated COVID – 19 Hospital) were today sent for home quarantine in presence of DM Anantnag, Mr. Bashir Ahmad Dar, CMO Anantnag and Dy. CMO Anantnag after they were tested negative for the said disease.

The recovered patient said that they are highly thankful to the district administration and entire health department for serving such patients round the clock tirelessly.

They further said that they are hopeful that all the patients who are still undergoing treatment in hospital will recover soon and suggested common masses to stay homes and maintain physical distance to avoid the infection.

While briefing the media, the DM Anantnag said that district administration is highly equipped to tackle the situation and added that a robust mechanism is in place to fight the said disease.

He said that aggressive sampling is proving fruitful in combating the spread of this disease; he hoped that all the COVID–19 patients recover soon and will be sent to their respective homes.

Meanwhile, the DM appealed people to stay home and prevent themselves from the said infection

11 Vehicles seized in Anantnag for violating lockdown norms

ANANTNAG, MAY 18: Additional District Magistrate Mr. Ghulam Hassan Sheikh today seized 11 vehicles for violation of lock-down guidelines and non-compliance of directives enforced in the district.

The Additional District Magistrate on the occasion called for strict observance of lock-down, adding that non-compliance shall attract harsh provisions under National Disaster Management Act 2005 and section 188 of IPC.

He said it was the duty of all stakeholders to enforce lock-down and contribute in containing incidence of COVID-19 infection.

He also called upon media persons to render support to the district administration in enforcing complete social distancing measures in red zones and avoiding non-compliance of lock-down.
