ASHOK URGES LT. GOVERNOR (J&K) TO REVIEW 50% LOCKDOWN
RAMBAN: Ashok Kumar, Former MLA from Ramban while interacting with the locals has strongly urged upon the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to review the 50% lock down imposed in entire Jammu and Kashmir Union territory.
Instead two days per week lock down would be effective in combating the spread of Covid-19 virus without hurting the economic and business sentiments of the people.
He also demanded for continuation of 50% capacity passenger in all the regions of J&K as it was earlier.
In a statement issued here, he also said that the all the frontline workers who were engaged in the covid-19 hospital should be given financial incentives and timely wages. He demanded to engage all the diploma holders of paramedical unemployed youth in the Union territory for smooth functioning of Covid-19 dedicated hospitals. Government should also protect families of all the frontline Warriors who are dedicatedly engaged in combating Covid-19 virus.
Ashok strongly demanded the concerned authorities to immediately restore and reserve the oxygen supply in all rural and far-flung hospitals in UT.
In addition, the financial package should be dispersed to every deserving unorganised workers of Ramban district on war footing as their families have suffered huge financial loss due to prolonged lock down under Covid-19 pandemic.
Ashok Further stressed upon the concerned authorities to provide masks, sanitizers and other equipment to poor people and impose less penalties on poor or BPL people as they have are already empty pockets due to prolonged pandemic. Many have Lost their jobs.
At last, Ashok stressed upon the Lieutenant Governor to utilize the penalties or fine amount for the treatment of poor covid-19 patients in the UT and for proper cleaning and sanitation of public spaces for the welfare of the health of the drivers and daily commuters. He said that its our Collective responsibility to combat with Covid-19 virus and it will only be removed from Jammu and Kashmir if we are unite in every sphere.
