Jammu: Directorate of School Education Jammu today celebrated the Sadbhavna Divas to commemorate the 77th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister of India Late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi by organising pledge taking ceremonies in offices and schools across all the ten districts of Jammu division.

Keeping in view the theme of Sadbhavana Divas which is to promote national integration and communal harmony among people of all religions, languages and regions, Chief Education Officers administered oaths to their staff memebers at the respective district head quarters. DIET Principals and other HOIs also organised pledge taking ceremonies in their respective institutions and schools. promoting the idea behind observance of Sadbhavana Diwas that is to eschew violence and to promote goodwill among the people.

JAMMU:

UDHAMPUR: As per the direction of Higher authorities, Pledge taking ceremony by Chief Education Officer, Udhampur Sh. Arvin Kumar Koul along with all staff members has been organized in Office premises on the occasion of “Sadhbhavana Divas” today on 20th August 2021.The main theme of Sadhbhavana Divas is to promote National Integration and Communal harmony among people of all religions, languages and regions and promote goodwill amongst the masses.

KATHUA:
Pledge taking ceremony by Chief Education Officer, Kathua Sh. Parkash Lal Thapa along with all staff members has been organized in Office premises on the occasion of “Sadhbhavana Divas” today on 20th August 2021.The main theme of Sadhbhavana Divas is to promote National Integration and Communal harmony among people of all religions, languages and regions and promote goodwill amongst the masses.

REASI:

As per the directive of Government of Jammu and Kashmir General Administrative department ‘Civil Secretariat’, ‘Sadbhavana Diwas’ pledge was taken by all employees of the CEO office, DIET and schools of the district for the emotional oneness and harmony of this nation moving beyond the differences of caste, region, religion and language.

CEO Mr. Mohd. Aziz led the ceremony in Reasi.

SAMBA: CEO Samba Mr. Onkar Chand Sharma administered oath to the staff memebers of his office and supervised the functions taking place in the schools under his jurisdiction.

KISHTWAR: CEO Mr. Rashpal Singh Chowhan administered oath to the staff members of CEO office and urged everyone to shun the prejudices of religion, language , caste and religion so as to make India an epitome of unity amongst diversity.

POONCH: Mr. Abdul Majid, CEO Poonch exhorted everyone to look beyond sectarian division and unite in a common bond for the betterment of every individual and the nation at collective level. He administered oath to the staff members of his office and supervised the ceremonies in schools.

RAMBAN: Enunciating the contributions of Late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi towards nation building, CEO Ramban Mr. Vinod Kaul administered oath to the staff members and urged every one take inspiration from the life of the erstwhile prime minister.

DODA: The main function was held in the premises of Chief Education Office Doda where Mr. Prahalad Bhagat administered oath to the staff members and advised everyone to follow the principle of unity in diversity, in letter and spirit.

RAJOURI:
District Rajouri saw enthusiastic participation of staff members in the oath taking ceremonies under the supervision of Mr. Gulzar Hussain who enlightened everyone about the life and contributions of Late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. He administered the oath tobthe staff members at Chief Education Office Rajouri.

The ceremonies were organised in the respective districts under the abke guideance of Principal Secretary to Government Mr BK Singh. Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Director School Education Jammu supervised the proceedings of the day.
