ASHOK CRITICIZES GOVERNMENT FOR IGNORING RAMBAN CONSTITUENCY IN TERMS OF ALLOCATING TOURIST VILLAGES.

Dated:12-11-21: Ashok Kumar, Former MLA from Ramban has strongly criticize the Government of Jammu and Kashmir for repeatedly neglecting the far flung and backward blocks of Ramban constituency in terms of allocation of Tourist Villages and strongly stressed upon the Government of Jammu Kashmir for inclusion of villages of Block Ramban, Batote, Rajgarh, Gandhri, Asser and Kashtigarh in tourist villages for the promotion of cultural, pilgrimage and eco-tourism in the region.

Ashok has further claimed that the neglected Ramban constituency has abundance of pilgrimage tourist destinations like Banasur Devta Chabba, Gajpat Kila, anicent Shankpal temple along with Ladhadhar meadows, Galadhar Chound mata temple, Sarvadhar Chound mata temple, Bulandpur, Rudraganga and beautiful Dessa valley and numerous other pilgrim tourist destinations. However, successive ministries of tourism has neglected our region. In addition to the pilgrim tourist destinations, Ramban constituency also comprise of tourism potential in perennial Chenab River along with numerous pristine tributaries but sadly, our region has been deliberately ignored.

In a statement issued here, he said: “There is strong regional disparity in allocation of development funds in the region when compare to other regions of the Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Now, the government is trying to further create the same regional disparity within the Ramban District by neglecting all the blocks of Ramban Constituency in terms of allocating tourist villages. It becomes both crucial and imperative to bring economic development in the region and providing employment for the people of Ramban constituency. On the contrary, the government is denying even the basic tourist project to enter in the region. It is a great injustice to the people of the region.
