To encourage the creativity amongst the children of Child Care Intuitions (CCI) during vacations, Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights is organizing Creative Art Workshops (19 June to 29 June 2018) i.e. Bhangra, Mask making, Painting, Collage Making, Salad Carving of CCIs. The Creative Art Workshops started with Salad Decoration & Carving. The expert on the first day Ms. Simrit Luthra gave the demonstration on three types of Salad making i.e. vegetable Carving, Fruit Decoration and sprouted salad. She also explained the importance and nutritious value of each type of salad. Out of total 60 children of Snehalaya 25 Children were selected and divided in eight groups to learn the process. Children took keen interest in activity of the workshop and made beautiful platters. Ms. Harjinder Kaur, Chairperson, Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) appreciated the efforts of children and fixed up the responsibility of two house mothers to give them regular practice. She also thanked Ms. Simrit Luthra, a renowned artist of Tricity for giving her spirited services as the most valuable charity and said such social support will go long way in shaping the future of these children. Ms. Simrit Luthra also complimented the creativity amounts the children and said their first attempt is much more impressive than a house wife who is daily working in the kitchen and the children acknowledged it with big applause and enthusiasm. During this program Sh. Kartar Singh Law officer, CCPCR, and Sh. Arvind Dhawan, Sr. Assistant, CCPCR were also present.
