Kathua: Today, happens to be a sad day for the teaching community of District Kathua, as they lost one of the gems of Education Department, Mr Surinder Singh, who was serving as Lecturer, Political Science at GHSS Baggan.
Late Mr.Singh started his journey with Education Department in 1992 , as a teacher but climbed ranks steadily. Was promoted as Master first and in the year 2020 he was promoted as Lecturer.
It is really disheartening to share that 2022 was to be his last year in service and he was going to attain superannuation in the month of December 2022.
Mr. Singh was said to be suffering from chronic illness and diagnosed with brain tumor in October 2021.
He is survived by his mother, wife and two children.
Late . Singh’s wife, Mrs. Nirmla Devi ,who is also a teacher in Education Department divulged that even though Singh was in ill health, he never deterred from performing his duties and had a profound love and respect for learners.
