Jammu: Chief Education Officer Jammu, Mr.Suraj Singh Rathore paid a surprise visit to Government Higher Secondary School Muthi late in the afternoon to inspect the newly constructed Education Block and to review the day to day working of the school. 
Mr. Suraj Singh Rathore inspected the newly constructed building and instructed the school principal to put the new block to use at the earliest so that the students can derive the benefits without any further delay and the building can serve its purpose.
The CEO assessed the precautionary and safety measures put in place for COVID-19 and directed the staff members to follow the guidelines and protocol meticulously. He advised everyone to remain vigilant and not to let the guard down. Students have already suffered a lot when it comes to regular schooling and any further loss would prove detrimental, he added. Hence it was of paramount importance that the SOPs and guidelines are followed in letter and spirit.
Mr Singh inspected the library, science laboratories, ICT Laboratories, class rooms, staff room, lavatories etc. and stressed on maintaining cleanliness.
He interacted with the staff members and listened to the problems faced by them. Mr. Singh assured early redressal of their issues.
He urged that quality education should be imparted to school students and instructed one and all to use the latest teaching techniques.
The CEO further directed the teaching community to work with dedication, zeal and honesty in order to raise the education standard and work towards all round development of mind body and soul of the students.
