Ramban: Today Ashok Kumar, Former MLA from Ramban and a senior Congress leader took a glimpse of Steel Jhula Bridge over river Chenab connecting twin towns of Maitra and Ramban where the de-Launch work of Jhula bridge is in the process. In a statement issued here: “He urged upon the Lieutenant Government to direct the concerned authorities to swiftly complete the construction process of de-Launch and early restore re-lauch process at steel bridge as the common man of entire Ramban District is suffering badly due to lack of accessibility between Ramban and Maitra.

Ashok has said that patients across the District are facing hardships in reaching District Hospital Ramban. The traffic congestion due to heavy land slides on the other side at NH-44 makes almost impossible for the people residing across the river chenab to reach at opposite sides. It is a great injustice for the people of hilly District Ramban.

Ashok has further said that the Traders/ Businessman of both Ramban and Maitra are the second most sufferers due to lack of connectivity between maitra and Ramban. As the customer are unable to reach at their shops and offices. Ashok has demanded to the LG Government to immediately de-Launch bridge or make atleast footpath bridge or other Swift arrangements as the festivals of Dussera and Eid are ahead.
