“Kala Utsav 2022–23 organized at zonal level in Kathua”

Kala Utsav 2022-23 has started and the winners declared at the school level were organized at the regional level at District Resource Center, Kathua. Kala Utsav is organized by the Department of School Education and Literacy and Ministry of Education (Government of India) under Samagra Shiksha among the students of 9th to 12th class so that the artist in them can be further strengthened.

The Kala Utsav is organized separately for boys and girls in 10 categories. A formal announcement has been made for the start of Kala Utsav by Directorate of Samagra Education Department, Jammu and Kashmir and Directorate of School Education, Jammu.
In Kathua zone also it was organized under the guidance of Hon’ble Chief Education Officer Mr. P L Thapa ji and as per the directions of Zonal Education Officer Mr. Manohar Lal Gupta ji at District Resource Center, Kathua. ZICC (Kathua) Santosh Sharma ji prepared the entire program and the Kala Utsav was concluded with the entire team of Cultural and Educational Unit (Zone, Kathua).
Students participated with full enthusiasm in this program which lasted for about 2 days i.e. 3rd and 4th November, 2022 in which they performed traditional and classical dance and singing styles, painting (two dimensional and three dimensional), Indian traditional sports toys, art skills , use of musical instruments etc. were also successfully demonstrated.
For the competition of singing and musical instruments, only the experts of music were given the role of the jury, in which Shri Narshottam Mahi and Satish Kumar were given. Apart from this, Pooja Andotra (Teacher), Anita Pangotra (Master) and Prasannta Khajuria (Teacher) played the role of jury for other competitions. Deepak Sharma (teacher) gave full cooperation as a technical expert.
DRG Paawan Vivek ji and DICC Monica Khosla ji also contributed in the successful operation of the program.
Honorable Zonal Education Officer Mr. Manohar Lal Gupta ji gave his full participation in the program despite the busyness on both the days and Mr. Mahesh ji (ZEO, Office) and Mr. Anil Gupta ji (in-charge, Middle School, C Kathua) accompanied him and boosted the enthusiasm of the participants. In the end, ZICC (Kathua) Santosh Sharma ji expressed his gratitude to all the students and the teachers who came with them and also to ZEO Sir ji and also gave best wishes to the winners going to the district level.
