Jammu: A 3 days long training programme on Digital Capacity Building of school teachers, organised by the Directorate of School Education, Jammu, in collaboration with Jnana Prabodhini Education Resource Center, Pune concluded here today at Jammu.

20 teachers each from 10 districts ofJammu Division participated in this Master Trainer’s training program held at SRML Secondary School in Jammu and at DIET, Doda between 9th to 11th November, 2022.

The main objective of this training was to train school teachers for using advanced digital technology for content creation so as to interact effectively with students. The teachers were trained in making educational videos for effective delivery of content in classrooms. They were also introduced to Thinking Skills mentioned in NEP.

Director School Education,  Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma who was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony distributed merit certificates amongst the teachers who had excelled in the training programme. Speaking on the occasion he said that a teacher is primarily a student himself and has to keep learning and updating his knowledge on regular basis to better the teaching learning process. The main purpose of organizing such work shops was to equip the teaching community so that the knowledge thus gained could be utilized in classrooms for the benefit of the students, he added.

Mrs.Pallavi Paradkar Head, Education Resource Center, Jnana Prabodhini was the special guest on the occasion. Dr. Jagdish Panotra gave the welcome address on occasion and Dr. Pourush presented the formal vote of thanks. Dr. Alka Sharma conducted the proceedings of the events.
