Today on 25/04/2023 a District level rally on enrollment drive was organized by the cultural and enrollment wing of Chief Education Office Udhampur. In the rally as many as 200 students and 35 teachers of different schools participated. Before starting the rally all dignitaries were welcomed by Chief Education Officer Udhampur and her colleagues by presenting bouquet. Thereafter a short but impressive cultural programme was organized by the students of different Government schools on the theme of enrollment drive. Speaking on the occasion Chief Guest of the function Director School Education Jammu Dr. Ravi Shanker Sharma (JKAS) said that, Education is a very important aspect of life therefore each and every child of the District should be enrolled in the school. Furthermore He directed all the subordinates on different levels to conduct door to door campaign and motivate the parents of the children to enroll their wards into the school. Since the girls dropout rate is higher therefore all of us should work together to minimize the dropout rate among girl children District Education Planning Officer presented vote of thanks of all dignitaries, Principal of the institution,participants, and media person.
At 2:30 P.M. rally was flagged off by the Chief Guest who was accompanied by Joint Director Udhampur Reasi range holding additional charge of Doda and Kishtwar Districts Sh. Dhirender Sharma (JKAS), Chief Education Officer Udhampur Smt. Geetu Bangotra, District Education Planning Officer Udhampur Smt. Girija Challu, Principal of Shaheed Inspector Kamal Singh Model Higher Secondary School (Boys) Udhampur Sh. Pawan Kumar, Assistant Director Planning Sh. Darshan Lal Sharma and In charge Cultural wing Directorate of School Education Jammu Sh. Surjeet Kumar.
Rally covering the different parts of the Distt. like Gole Market, Ramnagar Chowk, Slathia Chowk, D.C. Office and Housing Colony culminated at the venue.
