Hiranagar, March 2nd, 2024: GMS Chann Khatrian School in Hiranagar organized a Bamboo Craft workshop on March 2nd 2024.
This initiative aimed to promote vocational craft courses among students in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The workshop provided students with hands-on experience in bamboo craft techniques, fostering their creativity and developing their skills in this traditional art form.
“This workshop is an excellent opportunity for our students to explore a valuable craft that is part of our cultural heritage,” said the school HOI. “It aligns with the NEP’s emphasis on experiential learning and skill development.”
Through the workshop, students learned various techniques, including bamboo bending, splitting, and weaving. They created a range of functional and decorative items, such as baskets, mats, and ornaments, showcasing their newfound abilities.
